Govt assures smooth supply of essential goods amid India-Pak tensions
Officials have assured that daily supplies are reaching markets as usual, and there is no need for consumers to panic or stock up on food and daily-use products
The Union government has assured the public that there is no shortage of essential goods such as vegetables, pulses, and other essential commodities in the country.
Officials are closely monitoring prices to make sure they stay under control, especially as geopolitical tensions with Pakistan spark public anxiety.
Sufficient stocks available
Sources in the government have confirmed that sufficient stocks of essential commodities are available across the country.
Officials have assured that daily supplies are reaching markets as usual, and there is no need for consumers to panic or stock up on food and daily-use products.
They say the movement of vegetables, pulses, and other essential commodities is happening smoothly without delays and the cities are receiving daily supplies as usual.
To avoid any supply issues, the government is keeping track of the movement of food items across states.

Centre-state coordination
From today, the central government will begin holding meetings with State Food Secretaries and other key officials.
These meetings aim to review the status of food supplies, identify any emerging challenges, and decide if additional measures are needed at the state level.
One of the main goals of the government’s current push is to prevent hoarding and profiteering.
