In the opening match of IPL 2022, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated defending champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 6 wickets at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Saturday, March 26. Sent into bat first, CSK posted 131/5 in 20 overs with MS Dhoni (50 not out off 38) top-scoring. In reply, KKR won in 18.3 overs, scoring 133/4. Ajinkya Rahane was KKR’s top scorer with 44.
