The Bombay High Court has reserved its order on the bail pleas of Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty and others.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is tightening its grip on actor Rhea Chabraborty’s brother, Showik Chakraborty, as it told a Mumbai court on Friday (September 4) that Basit Parihar, the drug peddler arrested on Wednesday (September 2), used to procure drugs on Showik’s instructions.

Parihar was remanded in the NCB custody till September 9.

Parihar said in his statement that he would procure drugs from Zaid Vilatra and Kaizan Ibrahim, both drug peddlers arrested in the case, as per the instructions of Showik Chakraborty, the NCB was quoted as saying by PTI.

The NCB told the court that Parihar’s statement makes it clear that he “was an active member of drug syndicates connected with high society personalites and drug suppliers.”

Earlier, a NCB team raided the houses of Rhea Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda, Sushant’s house manager. Showik and Miranda were also questioned by the agency.

Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde refused to comment on NCB’s claim.
