
Salem eight-lane highway project: SC order marks end of farmers’ protests
The ₹10,000-crore Chennai-Salem eight-lane highway project was held up by a Madras High Court order last year, which cancelled land acquisition. That order was challenged by the National Highways Authority of India in the Supreme Court. The apex court has now overturned the HC verdict.
