Shops afire in fresh wave of violence in Chand Bagh

Rioters set fire to shops and a bakery, and pelted stones at them in a fresh wave of violence in Chand Bagh area of northeast Delhi on Tuesday evening.

The police used tear gas to disperse the crowd in the area, but in vain. Paramilitary forces have also been deployed to bring the situation under control.

This comes after a total of 11 people were killed in the violence that erupted in northeast Delhi over anti-CAA protest on Sunday (23.02.20)
