In addition, the complainant pointed out that the ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) has asked Patanjali Ayurved to stop advertising and publicising its claims about the medicine, referring to the happenings in Uttarakhand. Photo: Twitter

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday (April 23) came out in support of the BJP’s Bhopal candidate and Malegaon blast case accused Pragya Singh Thakur. He said that it was unfair to subject her to cruelty in jail for nine years on the basis of a suspicion.

Talking to reporters in Haridwar on Monday (April 22), Ramdev said, “Pragya was made to suffer rigorous imprisonment for nine years. There is nothing wrong in restraining her if she makes an inappropriate statement but the inhuman treatment given to her in the jail purely on the basis of suspicion was not fair.”

Earlier, Pragya Thakur claimed that Maharashtra anti-terrorism squad chief Hemant Karkare died due to her curse. The officer had died in the line of duty during the Mumbai terror attack of November 2008.
