Continuing his offensive against the Centre on the China issue, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday (June 23) asked the government if China has occupied Indian territory.
“We are standing united against Chinese aggression. Has China occupied Indian territory?” Rahul Gandhi tweeted along with a photograph of the Pangong Tso lake clicked by his father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
In an earlier tweet, Rahul Gandhi had said that ‘China had killed our soldiers and taken our land.’ He sought to know why, in spite of these, China was praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Rahul Gandhi has been vociferous in his attack on PM Modi following his statement at an all-party meeting last week that neither was anyone inside India’s territory nor had anyone captured its posts while referring to the Ladakh face-off.
Earlier too, the Congress leader had asked the government whether China has occupied any Indian territory.
The Prime Ministers Office had clarified Modi’s comments, and said attempts were being made to give a ‘mischievous interpretation.’
