A few days ahead of ‘Howdy, Modi’, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will jointly address more than 50,000 diaspora Indians along with US president Donald Trump at Houston in Texas, Modi on Tuesday (September 17) asked people to pitch ideas for his address at the event.

“Share your ideas for my address. I would refer to some of them during my remarks,” Modi tweeted urging people to express their thoughts on the special open forum on the NaMo application.

More than 50,000 Indian-Americans from across the US have registered for the event called ‘Howdy, Modi! Shared Dreams, Bright Futures’ which will be held at the NRG Stadium in Houston on September 22. The event is being touted as the largest-ever mass congregation for a foreign leader in the US.

“Howdy”, short for How do you do?, is a friendly greeting commonly used in southwestern United States.

Modi has earlier asked the people for ideas for his Independence Day speech and Mann Ki Baat monthly radio programme.
