The Kerala Janakeeya Congress (KJC), an ‘inclusive political party’ announced its inception at a function at the Press Club, Thiruvananthapuram recently.
The party, formed on the lines of the Aam Admi Party (AAP) will be a platform for all sections of people and will represent the development aspirations of the common man, party office-bearers said.
The main agenda of the party would be ‘people’s welfare’ and development, KJC chairman Ibi Vadakkan said.
The office-bearers said the Left Democratic Front, the United Democratic Front had mismanaged the state and the BJP had been pushing its communal agenda in the state. The people of the state wanted development and better living conditions and this would be on top of the agenda for the KJC, they said.
The people of Kerala expects a change and this is the underlying thought that led to the formation of the party, they added. An official announcement on the party formation would be made on November 14. The party will field 300 candidates in the next three-tier local body elections in the state.
