Moosewala murder case: 3 arrested; rifle and explosives recovered

Three pistols, 8 explosive grenades, and 9 electric detonators have been recovered by the police

Three accused have been arrested in the murder case of Punjab fame Sidhu Moose Wala, informed the Delhi Police Special Cell on Monday. Among the arrested are Priyavrat alias Fauji (26) from Haryana, Kashish (24) from Haryana’s Jhajjar district, and Keshav Kumar (29) from Punjab.

According to the Delhi Police Special Cell, arms including 3 pistols, 8 explosive grenades, and 9 electric detonators have been recovered by them.

As per an ANI report, during the incident, while Kashish was driving a Bolero car that carried all the three accused, there was another car, Corolla, driven by Jagroop Roopa. According to the agency, a man named Manpreet Manu first shot at the singer.

According to ANI, the chief of the anti-terror unit (Delhi Special Cell) has informed that soon after the incident, Manpreet Manu and Roopa had left the scene. Another module lead Priyavrat had also left the spot soon after the incident.

According to the police, the accused had received a call from Goldy Brar who takes responsibility for the murder and has close ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Brar had informed the accused that the singer was moving without much security. The accused had later called him back informing that the task was over.

As per an ANI report, the shooters also purchased uniforms of Punjab Police but were not able to use them due to the lack of nameplates. In total, 6 uniforms were purchased.

The Delhi Police have also recovered the AK series of rifles using which the singer was shot.

As per some media reports, the accused Priyavrat (26) who had been in touch with Canada-based Goldy Brar has been involved in two murder cases in the past. He was seen on CCTV footage at a petrol pump at Fatehgarh before the murder.

According to the police, while Priyavrat and Kashish were among the main shooters, the third arrested accused Keshav Kumar (29) was a facilitator and had accompanied the shooters till Mansa on the day of the incident.

Punjab singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified men in Jawaharke village of Mansa district on Sunday (May 29). The incident had happened a day after the Punjab Police had withdrawn the security of the singer.

Lawrence Bishnoi was produced before Chief Judicial Magistrate on June 15, where the Punjab police had got a seven-day custody of the gangster.
