Mamata appeals for unity in diversity on Ram temple bhoomi pujan day

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted that that country had always upheld the age-old legacy of unity in diversity, and we must preserve this to our last breath.


On the occasion of the foundation stone laying cerenomy of the Ram temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday (August 04) tweeted that that country had always upheld the age-old legacy of unity in diversity, and we must preserve this to our last breath, NDTV reported.

According to the NDTV report, Mamata tweeted, “Hindu Muslim Sikh Isaai Aapas mein hain Bhai Bhai! Mera Bharat Mahaan, Mahaan Hamara Hindustan.” However, she did not mention the words “Ram mandhir” or “Ayodhya” in her tweet, NDTV said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the Bhoomi pujan rituals and laid the foundation stone for Ram temple at a grand ceremony, after years of communal strife.
