Maha: Couple, minor daughter killed with sharp weapons

A couple and their minordaughter were allegedly killed with sharp weapons at a villagein Aurangabad district of Maharashtra early on Saturday,police said.

The couples six-year-old son was injured in theattack, they said.

Police are trying to find out whether the crime wascommitted by an individual or a group of persons.

The incident took place in Old Kawsan village, locatedaround four kms from Paithan city, between 1 am and 4 am, asenior official said.

“Four members of the family were attacked with sharpweapons. Raju Niware (35), his wife Ashwini Niware (30) andtheir daughter Sayali (10) died following the attack,” theofficial from Paithan police station said.

“The couples son Soham suffered injuries in theattack and is undergoing treatment at a hospital inAurangabad,” he added.

Theft does not appear to be the motive behind thecrime, he said, adding that investigation into the case is on.
