Kerala police officer shares food, video goes viral

A video of S.S. Sreejith, a Kerala police officer, sharing food with a man has gone viral on social media on Monday (December 16).

The video shows the civil police officer sharing his food on Hartal day with another man as a kind gesture on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram. The video was shot by one of his colleagues who posted it on the police group.

When he was asked about the response from social media, he replied that it was a casual act and was scared initially.

“It was a casual act and initially I was scared by the response it elicited.”

He was quoted saying, “When I was about to open my food packet I saw a person watching the proceedings closely. I could make out he was hungry. I asked him whether he had food and he said no. Then I told him to join me. Initially, he refused but when I prodded he agreed.”
