Saudi Aramco takes stake in Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries

Mukesh Ambani on Monday (August 12) announced that Saudi oil giant Aramco has agreed to take a 20 per cent stake in his flagship Reliance Industries’ oil refinery and chemical business at an enterprise value of $75 billion (around ₹5,32,466 crore). Making the announcement at Reliance Industries’ 42nd annual general meeting, he said this would be the biggest foreign investment in the history of the company.

Reliance is set to make announcements for Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh soon.

Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) on Monday cancelled the Delhi-Lahore bus service as Pakistan decided to discontinue it in the wake of India revoking Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, said a senior official of the public transporter. On Saturday, a senior Pakistani minister has announced to suspended the friendship bus service from Monday. A DTC bus was scheduled to leave for Lahore on Monday 6 a.m. However, it did not leave due to Pakistan’s decision to suspend the bus service, the official said.

Wrestlers Mahavir, Babita Phogat join BJP

Wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his medal-winning daughter Babita Phogat, who inspired the Bollywood film Dangal, joined Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday (August 12).
