BJP wave in Delhi giving sleepless nights to some before Delhi polls: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (February) said the BJP wave in the national capital is giving sleepless nights to some people ahead of the Delhi assembly elections.

While addressing a rally in Dwarka, New Delhi he said, “For the last four days a wave in favour of the BJP is making many people sleepless”.

He alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) stalls welfare schemes for people.

Taking a dig at AAP’s pet project Mohalla clinics, the Prime Minister said, “If a Delhi resident who is a beneficiary of Ayushman Bharat falls sick in Gwalior during a visit, will the Mohalla clinic go there to help him?”

Modi accused the AAP government of not implementing the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the national capital.

Raising the controversial amended Citizenship Amendment Act he said, “Delhi needs a government that will stand by the Central government on important decisions like CAA. You must punish those who insult our forces”.

He also said that the Delhi government is spreading lies about the CAA and is provoking the people against the Act.
