Looking forward to signing major trade deals with India: Trump

US President Donald Trump while addressing nearly lakhs of people at Motera Stadium said, "US loves India." Prime Minister Modi responds by praising the United States and points to areas of convergence between the two nations.


The United States President Donald Trump who began his maiden official two-day state visit to India landed in Ahmedabad.

He was accompanied by his wife Melania Trump, daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Javed Kushner besides an official delegation comprising US National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien, Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross and Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette among others.

Excited at the prospect of visiting India, he had earlier tweeted in Hindi from Air Force One saying that he was looking forward to the visit.

Trump is the seventh American President to visit the country.
