The escalation of tensions between the US and Iran following the killing of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani has resulted in both the countries digging into its deadly arsenal.

As Iran pounded two US military bases in Iraq, the US had already ‘advance deployed’ its mighty armada which, experts say, have the capability to invade countries on its own.

The most marked presence of the formation is the USS Harry S Truman, the eighth Nimitz class aircraft carrier of the US Navy. The craft stand is 20-storeys tall and holds a variety of equipment. It houses a 5000-member crew, too.
