The teaser of actor Keerthy Suresh’s upcoming Telugu film Good Luck Sakhi was released on Saturday (August 15) as a treat to fans on Independence Day.


The teaser of actor Keerthy Suresh’s upcoming Telugu film Good Luck Sakhi was released on Saturday (August 15) as a treat to fans on Independence Day.

Actor Prabhas shared the teaser first on his social media handles along with good luck wishes to the team. “My congratulations and best wishes to the entire team of #GoodLuckSakhi,” he wrote.

The film marks Nagesh Kukunoor’s debut into the Telugu film industry.

According to The Indian Express, he revealed in a recent interview that he was terrified about finally making a film in Telugu, which is his mother tongue.

“It’s my mother tongue but I never learned to read and write in Telugu. It’s one of my biggest regrets. So every time I was either offered a Telugu film or thought about it, I was always terrified. It’s like delving into a new language. I knew whenever I do direct, I would have to do a lot of homework,” he said.

Keerthy takes up the role of a sharpshooter in the film.

A series of shots give us a glimpse of all the bad things that happen in Sakhi’s life. To further reinforce the name “Bad luck Sakhi” for Keerthy’s character, the groom she is set to marry meets with an accident.

Aadi Pinisetty plays the role of her friend and depicts a great friendship between the duo.

Towards the end of the teaser, we see Sakhi training to become a sharpshooter. Actor Jagapathi Babu plays the character of her coach.

Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for the movie. Produced by Sudheer Chandra, the film has been shot mostly in Hyderabad and Pune.
