In a LinkedIn post, business tycoon Bill Gates shared his 48-year-old professional resume back when he was at Harvard University. The resume that appeared like a typewritten sheet gained huge responses from the users.

The caption to the resume read: “Whether you are a decent grad or a college dropout, I’m sure your resume looks a lot better than mine did 48 years ago.”

The resume flashed an objective of the business magnate to get into a position of a systems analyst or a systems programmer. The educational details included his then enrollment in Harvard University where he was learning operating systems structure, database management, compiler construction and computer graphics. The resume also flashed his ‘A’ grade in all the subjects mentioned above.

His resume showed that Gates had worked as a systems programmer and had even designed a system for traffic engineers to study traffic flow.

The post received a myriad of responses from the users. While the most repetitive comment was, “thanks for sharing”, some users also expressed a critical appraisal of the resume.

A user commented: “That’s a hugely impressive CV for a young person 48 years ago when computers were relatively new. The structure of the CV is good. I wonder what printer and software were used for it if not Word.”

In jest, another user commented that if Gates was still looking to improve upon his resume, the user had a fancy device that could help him.

Many users appreciated the simplicity with which the resume was designed, others expressed awe saying that the resume didn’t look like one of a young graduate.
