The ₹5 lakh crore budget of the Uttar Pradesh government, presented on Tuesday, made special allocations for Ayodhya, including ₹500 crore for the construction of a new airport in the pilgrim town. Besides, the government has also earmarked ₹2,000 crore for the Jewar airport.
The government doesn’t intend to tax the global income of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and only the income generated in India will be taxed, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman clarified on Sunday, a day after the Budget announcement raised confusion over the tax liabilities of NRIs.
